10 Weeks...

And I'm utterly exhausted. Let's hope this passes soon! I always think that I know how each pregnancy will go, and you'd think it'd be true, seeing as this will be kid #5 but truly each one is so different. I still do plan on posting about our trip and all the places I recommend stopping at, but it will have to wait until I have some energy. After all, I think the cameras still in the truck and frankly I just don't feel like going out there to get it.

Can you believe it?

You know that list? I've actually gotten a few items done! Wanna see? Okay, here you are..

This bookshelf is the christmas present Neal made for me the first year we were married, which would have been, oh 'bout 6 years ago. And it sat that whole time as unfinished wood since I am procrastinator in general. Mostly, I just couldn't decide what to do. And then I found these super funky scrapbook papers at Crafts Direct and fell in love. I like how they 'go' but aren't the same. So I painted the whole outside of the shelf white, the bottome inside shelf  I stained a medium oak color and then mod podged the papers on the back. I'm liking how it turned out! The only problem is putting books on it completely covers the cool parts. I think I need glass jars filled with little crafty goodness. Or something.

Over on the right is a lovely I got from a garage sale. I waaay overpaid for it and I'm super relieved that it works size wise for my front hall. The curved top drawer and bottom are what drew me to it. When I bought it the whole thing was covered very sloppily in I swear 5 layers of thick chunky paint. After a ton of sanding I got smart and bought Zinser paint stripper for the top. Hours of  sanding versus slap some Zinser on the top, let it sit 45 minutes and scrape all the crap off? Seriously happy I tried it. Last step was spray paint the hardware a hammered copper.
That's all for now. Time to sleep and get ready for an awesomely busy week ahead-we're gonna vacation starting Wednesday and I can't wait. Pictures ahead!

4, 3, 2, 1

Well, now, I think it's official. My life is *chaos*. In the last month I have: been moving; whoops, never mind. We're not moving. Well maybe we are, but just not until spring. Then maybe we should list the house in case it takes a while to sell, but do I really feel like doing all that work just to find somewhere to rent in the same town? To answer that: NO. So for now we're gonna stay put.....Next plan-I guess we'll just take an extended 3 week trip. Wait! never mind, just a one week or maybe two? Okay how about this, can we fit this trip in between preschool (I don't think I'm old enough to have a preschooler by the way. Yikes), sunday school and swimming lessons? No? well then...maybe we can work it out so that we only miss one of each? Geez. Why are we so changy? And why isn't that word, cause it's really a good one that describes my days perfectly.

In other happenings my baby is 1 today. Wow, I know time goes fast but really? I'm kind of glad that he's not walking yet (he's our slowest as the others were all proficient by 10 months) since it keeps him still my baby for awhile longer.

Oh, and also I'm not doing the Little Red Hen  after all. For a few reasons, it's just not gonna work out. First off, everything I've done for it I end up keeping. Not reeally how it's supposed to work...Another reason is that Neal got a new job and the schedule/location have changed our life a lot.  A real positive is that I don't feel the need to work-the money is awesome. The trade-off is that I don't have much time to work on finding furnititure much less time without the kiddles to fix and paint.

And that, people is my life update. I have gotten a few house and list things done, just need to photo and get back on here. Shooting for this week, fingers crossed.

See ya.
